All armour can be used as glamour! So every NPC that sells gear is a potential for new glams.Bridesmaid & Best Man Outfits: Buy from Rianne in Ul’dah, across from Aetheryte.Bango Zango in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks.(These have Race and Gender Restrictions) Starter Outfits & Hempen Outfits: Buyable from three locations. You’ll need a grand total score of 600 points from the Fashion Report to buy everything. (Wonder Square, aka the Yellow Area) You might know this as the other NPC at the Fashion Report. Spring Outfit: Purchase in The Gold Saucer from Kasumi. These Glamours actually hide your equipment so can run around nakey, should you choose. The Emperor’s New Gear: Purchasable in Vesper Bay, Western Thanalan from Swyrgeim, for very little Gil.Like most of you guys said, we should just not give them more attention and let them figure out how to really min/max their videoludic experience, giving them tips or arguing with them actually just fuel their behavior, and without our intervention they'll probably fall back to playing their Emulators saying they're fine with 10-20 years old content as long as it's free, and the biggest harm they truly do is whine for more. There’s not a lot of Glamour options which are buyable for Gil, sadly. Why should playing video-games be set on "fun credit" until deserving their payment and support? This is what privilege feel like. I agree with all what's being said, the current trial is one of the best, and definitely give plenty of reasons to unlock the full experience, glad to know I may group with you guys.īut Om3ga pointed out a good point, some true F2P indie players are waiting/asking for previous expansion to become part of the "free trial" and thus devalue more content, it's not the same as waiting for the market to reach an acceptable price, it's waiting for it to be valueless, I truly believe that should not happen and that this specific expectation is an insult to the gaming industry itself. I look forward to the day where it unequivocably makes me slap money on the table without any further thought. With every passing day I play, I see more reasons to subscribe. So yeah, I suuuper appreciate the long-term free trial. I'm buying it"Ĥ) If I fall hardcore in love with big Raids and decide this is my new online home. Unless something happens that *completely* turns me off the game, I'm going to switch to paid as soon as one of the following happens:ġ) I run out of inventory/Gil Space and decide I want more.Ģ) The buddy I'm playing with joins a really good and friendly FC that I also want to join.ģ) I hit the end of the base game, get access to Heavensward, and decide I really really like the new classes that unlock there, and decide "You know what I've played enough to know it's worth it. In the week and a half that I've started FF14's free trial, I've started get real convinced. If it wasn't for the free trial, I likely would not have started the game, as I've always been averse to subscription based games. I feel there is something to dig there and tuning that could be made, ex, if the free trial would last a month, then they'd need a subscribtion like all of us, and could at any time remove the strict content limitation they purposelly chose to put on themselves whenever they're ready without them getting entitled to finish a free trial without any form of support and huge ammount of criticism. I feel like the balance between trial and actual free play is not managed well enough to avoid those kind of situation where somebody is so entitled to play for free, he will litterally be on the defensive when it comes to players that acutally bought the game and even go as far as to personnally attack them and try to cancel any discussion. I do think the ability to try a game is awesome, however, when you leave most of the main game available, people start to get entitled to paying the game for free and are even more relluctant as they can already enjoy themselves at contempt, and won't realistically feel the need to unlock their full experience.Įven now, as I was responding to some topics, one of them fell into that category, and the minute I said "from what you said, unlocking your class cap seem like what you want the most", and I was dismissed as a "passive-aggressive P2W indie not understanding what the discussion is about" and got banned from the discussion. Some people are so entitled to "playing for free" they totally forget they're playing trials, then whine about fonctionnalities, saying their investment into the game and enjoyment depend on the limitation they face and argue they should be able to fully attest if they enjoy the game before even considering, not simply paying for it, but support the game and devs that allowed them that enjoyment in the very first place, and will try to do everything in order to circomvert an actual purchase.
